Hand and Foot Reflexology. feet map

REFLEXOLOGY is an ancient and highly regarded method of supporting health conditions through the feet and hands. Early forms date back to 2000BC in China, India and Egypt. ‘Zone therapy’ most commonly used in the west was created by William.H.Fitzgerald (an ear nose and throat doctor) and further developed by Eunice Ingram (a physiotherapist) into what is now known as Reflexology in the 1930s.

It is a touch therapy that is based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg and hands correspond with different areas of the body and reflexologists work these points and areas. We simply work those reflected areas with our sensitive fingers, aiming to bring those areas back to balance and therefore aiding the body to work as well as it can. Reflexology very much works on an individual basis, we provide professional facilitation of your body’s own potential for wellbeing.

People live busy and often stressful lives. It is important to recognise that energy channels need to be restored and revitalised at times, as general wellbeing can be affected. Reflexology is a technique that acts on revitalising the body and reenergising the overall system. This in turn strengthens a person’s immune system, making them less susceptible to illness. It also improves mental energy and a positive outlook, which could improve relationships with others.

Irrespective of why you come for a treatment, these could include:
